Pu Mat National Park, Nghe An Province is now home to two elephants, both about 1 year old.

Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Director of Pu Mat National Park, says that one elephant was born in February 2009 and the other was born in October 2009.
Both of them were discovered at Cao Veu Village, Phuc Son Commune, Anh Son District (Nghe An Province). These two elephants are currently healthy and in good condition.
According to Nhan, feeding the two baby elephants has been a great joy for people working at the national park. Now, there are 17 elephants including two newborns.
Pu Mat national Park is a natural wildlife reserve that is home to many animals and rare species. The park has become a major tourist attraction for both local and international visitors.
