DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 01: Bangkok arrival (D)
Upon arrival at Bangkok Airport, our airport representative will meet to assist you for your transfer to the hotel.
Enjoy Welcome dinner by Dinner Cruise (Chao Phraya River Cruise).
Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 02: Bangkok – Ayutthaya (B)
Depart from Bangkok in the morning and drive north to Ayutthaya.
Upon arrival, hop on a “Kermit” Tuk Tuk (a special type of motorized Tuk Tuk available only in Ayutthaya and Trang provinces in the South) to discover the magnificent ruins and ancient temples in the historical park. Briefly stop near the Muslim quarter and sample one of the most famous delights of Ayutthaya – candy floss roti.
In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely long-tail boat ride to Bang Pa-In Summer Palace and explore the majestic royal mansions which are usually quiet in the afternoon. Continue to Wat Niwet Thammaprawat, one of the most distinctive Buddhist temples with its remarkable Gothic style architecture and stained glass windows.
Overnight in Ayutthaya.
Day 03: Ayutthaya – Lopburi – Shitsanulok – Sukhothai (B/D)
Breakfast at hotel and proceed to Lopburi. The province has been an important part of the Khmer Empire, later a part of Ayutthaya Kingdom, and Ayutthaya’s second capital under the reign of King Narai, the Great. Visit the famous for the hundreds of crab-eating macaques that overrun the Old Town, especially in the area around Phra Prang Sam Yod and Phra Kaan Shrine.
Continue driving further north to Phitsanulok, lunch and visit Wat Mahathat featuring Thailand’s most beautiful Buddha image – Phra Putthachinnarat. Visit to Cha Tawee Folk Museum. We also include a fresh market nearby the train station for your cool snack experience, sampling various kinds of fried insects like cockroaches and grasshoppers. One of the amazing things in Thailand that you should try, even though it’s unpleasant look but the taste is the challenge!
After that drive to Sukhothai, a name meaning dawn of happiness, which was founded in the 13th century and became the kingdom’s first capital, overseeing a period known as the golden age of Thai history. Enjoy New Year Eve Dinner in hotel.

Day 04: Sukhothai – Lampang – Chiang Mai (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit starts at Sukhothai Historical Park which was once a walled city surrounded by a moat, the park contains almost 200 ruined chedis in remarkable conditions. See the main sites of the Historical Park. Bike ride is possible in supplement in the historical park. A nice and easy way to stroll around the ruins!
Continue up to the north to Chiang Mai via a stop in Lampang. Visit Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, one of the most spectacular temples in Thailand. Dating back to 1486, it is believed to be one of the oldest wooden buildings in Thailand. Next visit is “FAE”, Friends of the Asian Elephant, where you will learn more about the living conditions of the elephants in the natural surroundings. Visit the World’s First Elephant Hospital to observe the way the elephants being treated.
Arrive Chiang Mai later in the afternoon.

Day 05: Chiang Mai (B)
Depart your hotel at 06.00 AM and arrive at the foot hill of Doi Suthep mountain, in time to buy offerings and join the locals during the daily alms giving ceremony. This is a serene Buddhist procession where dozens of monks walk barefoot through the street collecting food and everyday items. Continue up the mountain to Wat Doi Suthep and climb the 309 steps of the Golden Naga stair case to reach its golden pagodas. Proceed to Wat Umong, built in the 14th century, a heavily forested temple covered by moss and small plants offering a unique yet charming sense of natural decay. After a walk through its mysterious tunnels you reach the Viharn of the temple to experience your own private blessing ceremony.
After, enjoy this lovely day with a delicious bowl of Khao Soy. This famous Northern Thai dish is a combination of coconut cream, crispy noodles and plenty of spice that is sure to delight!
In the afternoon, head towards the Mae Ping River banks and Waroros market for a stroll among the colorful stalls. Continue by rickshaw along Tapae Road, Chiang Mai’s main street. From the eastern gate, explore ancient Chiang Mai on foot, including the Three Kings Monument, the city’s most important temples Wat Chedi Luang, where the famous Emerald Buddha was once enshrined, and Wat Phra Singh, home to a very old and sacred Buddha image.

Day 06: Chiang Mai – Mandalay (B)
Free time in the morning. In the afternoon, transfer out to Chiang Mai Airport to catch a flight connecting directly to the ancient capital of Myanmar, Mandalay. Arrive in Mandalay, welcome by our local guide then transfer to hotel in city center.

Day 07: Mandalay – Mingun – city sightseeing (B)
After breakfast, you will be transferred for Jetty for a private boat across the river Ayeywarwaddy to visit Mingun. The dedications of King Bodawpaya such as the unfinished Pathodawgyi Pagoda a brick counterpart of pyramid in Egypt and the Mingun Bell, the second largest bell in the world are the most prominent religious heritages. Then visiting the Myatheintan Pagoda, the best representation of the Universe, will refresh your tiredness and fatigue.
This afternoon, we spend most of our time to Royal Palace and Mahamuni pagoda, Kuthodaw pagoda that are the most highlighted places in Mandalay.
If your energy permits, we will walk up to Mandalay Hill for the overview and wait for beautiful sunset over the city that is once the capital of Myanmar.

Day 08: Mandalay ancient capitals (Ava & Sagaing) (B)
Today we travel outside the city to the Buddha land of Sagaing. This religion hub presents the education for monks with different level. Visit Sagaing University, followed by another visit to Buddha cave and U Min Thonze Pagoda, Soon U Pon Nya Shin Pagoda, Tupayon temple where you can enjoy the great view of Mandalay. This afternoon we will travel to Ava, Amarapura to discover the Maha Aungmye Bonzan, Gabaya Monastery, Leaning Nam Myint Tower and the nearby attractions. Enjoy a walk over U Bein bridge, the longest teak wood bridge in Myanmar.

Day 09: Mandalay – Inle lake (B) (Flight)
This morning, take a short flight to Heho, you will enjoy a scenic drive to Nyang Shwe from where you will embark on a beautiful boat trip to explore the life of Intha people whose famous for one leg rower.
Check in hotel and then spend our time to know about local traditional work such as making boat, black smith, silk weaving and enjoy the uniqueness of Jumping Cat pagoda.

Day 10: Inle lake tour (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, visit floating market which is a 5day rotation market most fascinating to watch the daily life of the minorities and their activities. Continue our excursion by motorized boat to Indein pagoda complex, in the south-west of the lake. The boat leaves the lake and enters a narrow canal with a beautiful natural environment to continue to a small Pa O tribe village. From the village, follow an old covered path to a 13th century monastery and the very impressive ruins of hundreds of ancient pagodas, some hidden in the vegetation. The main stupa-area on the top of the hill offers breathtaking views over the surrounding mountains and down to the valley and the lake in the far distance.

Day 11: Nyaung Shwe – Bagan (B) (Flight)
Enjoy your breakfast at hotel in Inle Lake then take a short flight to Bagan. On arrival, get a pick up to your hotel.
Join us for an amazing day insight the heritage sites of Bagan. You will learn about the remainder of more than 2500 temples and their history, discover the uniqueness of its relics and remits.
Htilomino temples, Gaw Damgamgyi temples, Ananda temples … will be listed on your visiting sites as the major attractions of Bagan.
One of the best highlights in Bagan is the magical sunset on the top of Shwenandaw before back to your hotel.

Day 12: Bagan discovery (B)
Colorize your Bagan experience with a visit to Nyang U market. We then visit Shwezigon pagoda, the olden golden pagoda in Bagan located in Nyang U town. Followed by a horse cart ride will takes us into the local habitat of Manuha, Kaweyai villages.
Enjoy a sunset cruise on Irrawaddy River.

Day 13: Bagan – Yangon (B) (Flight)
A short flight from Heho will take you to the former capital of Myanmar but still the most important city of the country – Yangon. The flight is followed by a city tour to the iconic pagoda of Myanmar – Shwedagon pagoda. The pagoda is not only giant in its size but the holy place for local people coming here for praying.
We continue our trip with a visit to Sule pagoda that is a few minutes drive away. The city tour is closed up with a walk along British streets, dotted by colonial buildings along both two side. Enjoy our farewell dinner at a fine restaurant.
Overnight in Yangon.
Day 14: Yangon – departure (B)
Relax until our driver come to pick you up for the flight to Yangon. There, you will take your flight to next destinations. End of our services.

Essential Notes
Passports and Visas
The first thing goes first. You definitely must obtain valid VISA in order to travel into any country and so is Myanmar (Burma). Unless your country is in VISA exemption list, it is your responsibility to get valid VISA before arrival. There are two ways to get Myanmar VISA:
- Go to Myanmar Embassies and Consulates in your home country and you will be guided procedure. You may want to check the list of countries where Myanmar has embassies and consulate offices by clicking here.
- Obtain VISA On Arrival (VOA). For tourists coming from countries has no Myanmar Diplomatic Rep offices, you can obtain VOA online via www.myanmarevisa.gov.mm – the official portal for VOA by Myanmar government. The portal launched in Sep 01, 2014 and took its pilot operation for a month. Providing you encounter any issue, please contact us for support.
Climate & Clothing
Generally speaking, Myanmar is a tropical country with rather hot weather. Sometimes in year or in some Northern places, temperature cools down but not that can be called cold. Roughly saying that the best time to travel Myanmar is from Oct to March due to dry and cool season. Other months, however, you may get very nice deals of promotion.For clothing: comfortable clothes, absolutely. We suggest you should take at least one long pan, a long skirt and a sleeve top because we will visit some religious site and many of them require proper code of dress.All of temples and pagodas require you enter with bare feet. A pair of sandals is highly recommended.
Cell Phones & Calling Cards
You may wish to carry a cell phone while traveling. Check with your cell phone provider if your phone will work in the destination(s) you are visiting. Myanmar service is dominated by the GMS technology standard, while some of the world such as U.S uses the incompatible CDMA standard. We suggest that you should check carefully or you may incur high international roaming fees.We said previously “the SIM card in Myanmar is not very popular and still quite expensive”. But now, forget it! SIM cards in Myanmar now are cheap and easy to buy in any main city as cheap as about US$ 02 each. Cell phones, even smart phones are available on sales widely.
Making Telephone Calls from One Country to Another
When dialing a number from one country to another, you should proceed as follows: dial your country’s Exit Code + destination Country Code + Phone Number. Country Code of Myanmar is 95.
Wireless Internet Access
Passengers traveling with WiFi enabled devices (such as a personal computer, smartphone, tablet, or digital audio player) may be able to connect to the internet via a wireless network access point (or hotspot). Wifi is now popular in most hotels from three stars up. Most of them are supplying Free Wifi but some may incur extra charges. We suggest you should ask the receptionist before.
Cards and Currency
Myanmar’s national currency, the KYAT (pronounced chat, abbreviated in MMK) is divided into the following banknotes: K1, K5, K10, K20, K50, K100, K200, K500 and K1000.We once said “ATMs are still very hard to come” but from my latest inspection of Myanmar, the country now starts using ATMs. Most three stars hotels up often have at least one AMT machine right at their lobbies. Main hotels now accepts credit cards payment.Anyway, we suggest you should bring with some cashes just in case. Local buying there accept Burmese and US dollars widely. However please pay at attention when bring US notes with you:
- The US$ notes must be new.
- The US$ notes torn, marked, folded will not be accepted.
- The US$ notes having series before 2003 backward may not accepted.
You are allowed to bring up to US$ 5000 in cash per person to enter Myanmar.
Trip Preparation
A little pre-planning can make your trip go a lot smoother. We suggest you should taking a checklist below:
- Several weeks before your trip, make a list of what you will need to take with you.
- Make sure your personal documents (passports, visas, driver’s license) are in order.
- We suggest that you make photocopies of passports, visas, personal ID and any other important travel documents and pack them separately from the originals. If you lose the originals while traveling, you’ll have copies for easier reporting and replacement.
- You may consider bringing a small supply of over the counter medications for headaches and/or anti-diarrhea pills. Pack a list of medications including dosage and generic names.
- We recommend that you pack a portable alarm clock.
- Avoid placing valuables such as cameras in your checked luggage.
