Ngalaik Lake Park is a small water park located along the Ngalaik dam, near Kyweshin village on Ngalaik Lake, which is nearly 7 miles from the Naypyidaw center. Opened in 2008, the park facilities include water fountains, natural resorts, rooms for lease and a manmade beach. The park is opened for local citizens for free on the occasion of Thingyan festival.
Naypyidaw zoo was opened in 2008 with about 420 animal species and a house of penguin which is controlled carefully in terms of temperature. This is also the biggest zoo in Myanmar, recorded in most Myanmar travel books. The wildlife animal zoo was officially opened on February 12, 2011.
