The emerging destination of Myanmar is one of the most inspirational countries in Asia. While the country just opens for few years, it is fresh and attractive to capture the changing life where you capture the signature of the past and the movement of the present.

1. Portraits
For the first timer and multiple time visitors, Burmese are very friendly and approachable. Myanmar women and children often wear a mask made of Thanaka tree powder, they often decorate it in different shapes varying beautifully from leaves to intriguing drawings. If you take a little time venture out of the city or travel up north, it is very worth to visit a random village where you will have a chance to encounter a smiling Thanaka face, it is every worth.
Monks including monks and nats ( male and female monks) who populated the most in Mandalay, the capital of Buddhism education with their saffron customs create the best models for any photo. Spending your time to witness their meals, studying, praying or simply walking over a bridge, that would be a beautiful moment.
The blending of Bagan monks and the pagoda or Mandalay Monks with their monastery is promising to bring you stunning capture.
Inle Lake rower
This is definitely the image that you should not miss. There is no doubt that you will wonder how they control the boat by one leg but to put that into your lens, it is ever more interesting.
Hill tribes
If there is anything you can explore from time to time, it must be the the hill tribes who inhabit in mountainous sides of the vast northern area. Pa-O, Karen, Wa, Shan, Akha… or any of 135 ethnic minorities who exposes their culture in a very distinctive way in accordance with their appearance will be the great topic of your portrait photos.

2. Colonial Signatures
Even Myanmar is opening, not so many colonial heritage of this country is known so far.
While Yangon reflected the city constructed by British people, many hill stations showcases the typical life in XV century with typical houses and gardens.
Visit Yangon city, visit Kalaw, Pyn Oo Lwin if you are interested in the architectural heritages of Burma
3. Landscapes
The most outstanding features that you can recognize in this tempting country is you will see temples or pagodas everywhere even you travel to the beach or trekking in the mountain.
The best place to have pagoda photo is Bagan, a sacred land with more than 2500 religious sites dating from XI century, boasting uniquely architecture and marking the development of Buddhism in this country.
Sunrise & Sunset
There most haunting moments in Myanmar are sunrise and sunset. There are so many viewing points for your creation. Top of Mandalay Hill, Shwesandaw peak, Mt. Popa peak, Shwedagon Pagoda, Ubein Bridge… all are ideal location for a sunset photo that are unlike
