The National Museum of Myanmar is the exhibition hall where the heritages of ancient civilization are exposed. It is located on Pyay Road, near China Town in Yangon.
This is the place where you can study the history of Myanmar including the alphabet, scripts dated back to AD1.
The first building was found in 1952 with its premises at what was once the Jubilee Hall. In 1970 the museum was moved to a more spacious building on Pansodan Street. But these premises were not originally constructed to house a museum.

Opening time: 10:00 to 16.00 everyday
Priceless ancient artefacts, works of art and historic memorabilia are on display in 14 halls on fourth-storey. Three halls on the ground floor hold exhibits on the evolution the Myanmar script and alphabet, the Lion Throne Room and Ratanapon Period pieces.
