Mandalay Palace

The Mandalay Palace is represented for the last royal palace of Myanmar.
The site was set up by King Mindon in two years 1957 and 1959. In 1885, when British army arrived, the regime of royal was over.
Today the site reflects vividly the ancient capital history and imperial rites.

Kothudaw Pagoda

Situated on the southeast stairway of Mandalay Hill, Kothudaw is known as the biggest Buhhda book in the world with 729 stupas and temples. Each stupas is called Pitakas.

mingun

Uncompleted Wall – Mingun
The unfinished temple that lies on the left bank of Irrawaddy river holds a records of being the biggest piles of bricks in the world.
Construction began in 1790, using mostly slave labor, and causing a massive drain on resources and manpower in the area. The project was widely unpopular during its time, which some suspect caused its cessation.

Sandamuni temple
built in 1874 as a memorial to Crown Prince Kanaung, who was assassinated in an attempted coup eight years earlier. Sandamuni is surrounded by green villages and near by a monastery, it is really an interesting place to enjoy the tales of kind Mingdon.

Sagaing – Monk Education centre
The centre of Buddhism with schools for Nats and Monks, Sagaing is the cradle of monk education for all states of Myanmar.

Sagaing Hill and Budda Cave

One of the most unique site on Sagaing Hill is Buddha Cave. There are Buddha statues are together inside a temple which is famous to be a sacred place for pilgrimagers.
From Sagaing Hill, you can easily behold the panorama of Mandalay area and Irrawaddy River.
