DESCRIPTION:
Mandalay city tour features a pleasant guided excursion showcases the highlights of Mandalay and its attractions. The tour begins in the former royal palace with visits to famous temples and finish with a boat ride trip to Mingun where you will discover the architectural wonders located in peaceful village by Irrawaddy river bank.
DETAIL ITINERARY:
We begin our day with a walk to Mandalay Hill, which lies 240m above the city. This is one of the best place to behold the panorama of Mandalay covering Irrawaddy river and city centre. You will visit Shwe Nandaw Kyuang ( Golden Palace Monastery) which is famous for its intricate wood carvings and Kayuktawgyi Pagoda to view the huge marble Buddha.
Our next destination is Kuthodaw pagoda, home to “the world’s largest book”. This is a live books, preserved in more than 700 marble slabs inscribed with Buddha lessons.
After that, we proceed to the river side for lunch before heading to Mingun by boat.
Wee will spend time by the incomplete wall then proceed to Mingun Bell which weighs more than 87 tons and is more than 3.7 metres tall is claimed as the biggest ringing bell in the worldWe will learn about Sadamuni pagoa, a white-washed temple built to resemble Mount Meru before taking your sunset boat back to your hotel
