The 400-metre double-cable zip line over the Chay river to the entrance of Toi cave (Dark cave) in Phong Nha – Ke Bang national park (Quang Binh province) was recognized as the longest zip line in Vietnam on 29th July 2015.
Quang Binh province is dubbed as the kingdom of caves in Vietnam as it features numerous wonderful caves, in which there are Son Doong (the world’s largest cave with a whole jungle inside it), Hang En (the third world’s largest cave screened on the bombard PAN, see here), Hang Tien (has original system of stalactites like terraced fields), Hang Va – Nuoc Nut, Thien Duong (Paradise), Tu Lan, Dark cave, etc.
Apart from caving tours, in Phong Nha – Ke Bang national park, adventurers can experience kayaking on Chay river and zip-lining to Dark cave (see the tour here).
The zip-line is the fastest way to reach Dark cave, running from Ho Chi Minh way (West Branch), crossing Chay river to the cave’s entrance. Formerly, to approach it, travelers have to pass the river by boat. This zip line has harmony topography with beautiful scenery that is well worth for discovering.
The construction finished and came into operation in September 2014. So far it has welcomed 25,000 travelers. Besides, at the platform of this zip-line, it is possible to observe langurs (an endangered species) and take panorama of primeval forests.
