Day 01: Yangon Arrival
Upon arrival at Yangon airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Visit the Sule pagoda and the bustling downtown area, taking in the rich colonial architecture and bustling streets and markets. In the afternoon we make our way to the Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, which is home to a huge Colossal Reclining Buddha and Karaweik Hall, a floating barge on Kandawgyi Lake. The highlight of the day is a visit to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, the most outstanding and revered Buddhist pagoda in Burma, whose golden stupa dominates the skyline of Yangon. This is also the most ideal spot from which to watch the sunset in Yangon. Return to the hotel for rest and free to discover the city at night.

Day 02: Twante Pottery Villages
Drive overland to Twante town via Hlaing Thar Yar Bridge. This town is famous for beautiful, old-fashioned potteries and kilns. All pottery works are done manually and with high carefulness. Visit the attractions around the town. After lunchtime, take a private boat to Yangon jetty. The boat trip takes around 2 hours via Twante canal. Arrive back in Yangon jetty then being transferred to your hotel.

Day 03: Yangon – Bagan Temples
This morning, fly to Bagan. This city is no doubt one of the most impressive sites anywhere in Asia. Begin to visit the vibrant Nyaung Oo Market, the economic center of Bagan. Local people gather at this bustling market daily, to buy and sell a variety of goods, from fruit and vegetables to clothing, china, and lacquerware. Continue to the gold-plated Shwezigon Pagoda, Bagan’s greatest reliquary, built to house relics of the Buddha brought from abroad. From here, drive to the small village of Wetkyi-in to see the wonderful Kubyaukgyi Temple, renowned for its ancient murals then Ananda temple, one of the most reserved monuments in the entire Bagan. Your morning excursion also includes the Htilominlo Temple, which houses four Buddha figures on the ground floor and four more on the first floor. After lunch, continue your exploration of the city’s treasure trove of Buddhist art and architecture.

Day 04: Sale Excursion
This day we venture outside to visit Sale (1.5 hours south of Bagan) which lies on the banks of Irrawaddy river. We can see the beautiful Sale Yoke Sone Monastery with its beautiful wood carvings and motifs then Thar Ta Na Yaung Chi Monastery. Rural life can be seen around town.

Day 05: Bagan Local Life
After breakfast, arrive in Taung Bi farming village to discover the local life and how to make their rice-noodle. We spend the rest of the day exploring the other temples of Bagan which consists of more than 2500 temples and pagodas. This archaeological site brings us to the scared history of ancient Bagan capital with the development of Buddhism including Mahabodhi, Dhammagangyi, Thatbyinnuy. Enjoy sunset on a cruise along Irrawaddy river.

Tucked away in a narrow dirt side street of Myinkaba Village is the morning market, a little slice of local life.
Day 06: Mount Popa – Kalaw Overland
Proceed overland to Kalaw, a charming former hill station with pine forests, en route we stop off to visit Mt. Popa, which is regarded as the abode of “Nat” (spirits) culture in Burma. Mt. Popa is an extinct volcano with with its shrines dedicated to animist spirits known as “Nats”. Climb up 777 steps to the shrine at the top to see spectacular views over the Bagan plain and surrounding regions.
Continue the journey to Kalaw through the plains and later up into mountains. Arrive then check in the hotel.

Day 07: Kalaw Trekking
After breakfast, walk to Taung Ni Village (9 km – nearly 3 hours per way) to see the Palaung ethnic people. On the way, we will pass through tea and orange plantations at the Peinnebin Village.
Arrive in Taung Ni Village then have lunch at the local house. In the afternoon, we will take around to know about the local life before heading back to Kalaw.

Kalaw Trekking
Day 08: Kalaw – Pindaya Caves – Inle Lake
Explore the best attractions of this marvellous hill town, including the gold lacquered bamboo Buddha of Nee Paya, the Catholic church of Christ the King before driving to Pindaya to visit the fascinating Pindaya caves with more than 8,000 Buddha images. Later we get to know about the method the local people in Shan state make the umbrellas from cottage material.
In the afternoon continue by car to Inle Lake where our boatman awaits to transfer you to the resort.

Day 09: Inle Lake Sightseeing
After breakfast, skim along the waterways in a long-tail boat, catch a first glimpse of floating gardens, stilt houses, and fishermen propelling their skiffs with one leg wrapped around an oar. Visit the infamous Phaung Daw U Pagoda, which enshrines five Buddha images believed to have been carried to this area by the widely-traveled 12thcentury King Alaungsithu then Nga Phe Chaung

Day 10: Sagar Exploration
This day we boat to the end of the lake, visiting Sagar village where is administrated by the Pa-O ethnic people. Admire the beauty of the remote village and its ruined stupas that sometimes get flooded in the rainy season and water lilies growing in mass. You also have chance to visit a local rice liquor distillery before returning to your resort.

Day 11: Inle Lake – Kyaing Tong Trekking
Fly to Kyaing Tong, the capital of Eastern Shan State and the home to the Khun, Akha, Shan, Wa and Lahu ethnic groups. Trek to explore the town and its attractions nearby, including the Naung Tone Lake.

Day 12: Kyaing Tong Trekking
Get up early in the morning then attend the colourful local market in Kyaing Tong. Return to your hotel for your breakfast.
After breakfast, proceed by car to Loimwe where a number of colonial buildings and a century old Catholic Church exist. Continue your trek to visit to nearby ethnic villages including Ann, Wa,
Lahu tribes. Return to Kyaing Tong in the late afternoon.

Day 13: Kyaing Tong Departure
After breakfast, you will have two options to depart Burma. The first one is to fly back to Yangon for your onward flight. The second one is to drive to Tachileik (160 km – 4 hours) and cross the border bridge to Mae Sai to depart for Thailand.
